Dog Park
Our new dog park is now open. The dog park is located within Franich Park at 795 Vista Montaņa Dr. The dog park rules may be found here.
Smoking Ban
All City parks, the Watsonville slough trail system and City sponsored events are now designated as Non-Smoking. More information.

The Parks and Community Services Department is hiring Recreation Leaders, Sports Officials and Scorekeepers. If you are enthusiastic, conscientious and love to work with youth, we may have the job for you. See The City of Watsonville employment page for job descriptions.

A message regarding Parks and Recreation Month from the Parks and Community Services Department Director, Ana Espinoza.
New PCS Department Hours
The Parks and Community Services Department will be closed every Friday beginning on July 17, 2009 through July 9, 2010. Most employees have forgone ten percent of pay in exchange for working fewer hours per week. This was necessary to balance the budget as the City is experiencing declining revenues in this down economy. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but we hope you will take advantage of our extended operating hours Monday through Thursday 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Facility Rentals
Do you need a place to host a family celebration, business meeting, community gathering, computer class, or carwash fundraiser? If so, the Parks and Community Services Department has a variety of facilities for rent. See the rental fee schedule here.
Environmental Science Workshop
Sponsored by The City of Watsonville Public Works & Utilities Department, this workshop is located in the Marinovich Community Center at 120 Second St.
