Commemorative Tree and Bench Program Commemorative Bench Commemorative Bench Plaque The Parks and Community Services Department created the Commemorative Tree and Bench Program as a way for the public to honor and commemorate individuals, families and organizations. It is also a special way to fund needed trees and benches for city parks. The Parks Division has predetermined locations, tree species and a specific bench that are available. Tree donor recognition will be in the form of an engraved brass plaque that measures 3 inches by 8 inches and is mounted on a concrete block flush with the ground along a pathway close to the tree. Bench donor recognition will be in the form of an engraved brass plaque that measures 2 inches by 10 inches and is installed on the bench.
